“Toodie,” as she was called, celebrated 104 years of living on Feb. 13. One of her gifts was a coconut pie, which she became well known for over the years.

These drawings by Fred Dillon, grandfather of Billy Scrantom of Cherokee County, were part of his attempts to find buried treasure. He used trees as historical identification markers and went from there.
