Cherokee County Democrat dinner on April 11

Murphy – Join the Cherokee County Democratic Party and county Democrats for a fundraising dinner from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, April 11, at The Ballroom, 51 Hiwassee St. downtown.

“Building Better Community Together” is dedicated to raising funds for three local Democratic candidates – Judith Bodley and Rex Cable, who are candidates for county commissioner; and Joy Stein, who is running for the Cherokee County Board of Education.  

Tickets are $35 each, which includes a pasta buffet dinner and dessert. 

The goal is to raise funds for the candidates and meet fellow Democrats. This evening will  provide an opportunity to meet the candidates and hear from them about issues affecting all Cherokee County residents.

Additional speakers will include Caleb Brown, Democrat candidate for N.C. House  District 120; and Tom Downing, who is running for a seat in N.C. State Senate District 50.

It is recommended that tickets be purchased by Saturday, April 4, by visiting the CCDP website at ccdp-nc.net/event. Limited tickets will be available for purchase at the door.
