Transformer theft charge
An Andrews man faces a felony larceny charge involving the theft of a Duke Energy utility pole transformer valued at $1,156.
Corey Dylan Underwood, 30, of Dick Hidden Mobile Home Park Drive in Andrews, was arrested on a warrant issued Feb. 5 for a theft believed to have taken place on Dec. 3, 2025.
Underwood was freed on $5,000 bond. He was also arrested on three other warrants for failing to appear in court on other charges, including two felonies and one misdemeanor.
Underwood posted $15,000 bond on a felony warrant charging him with intimidating a witness and communicating threats in March 2025 for a misdemeanor charge of assault inflicting serious injury.
He posted $10,000 bond on a felony warrant charging him with an Aug. 29, 2024 charge of assault with a deadly weapon (a knife) causing serious injury.
