This might not be the optimal week to recognize what is likely most Cherokee County residents’ least-favorite season, what with the storm over the weekend. However, for the local folks who moved here after living in the one-season flatlands of Florida, having four distinct seasons is something worth celebrating.
Winter started on Dec. 21 and runs through March 20. You can read elsewhere on this page what happened during the storm, as right here we only want to think of the positive aspects of the coldest part of the year, like celebrating the holidays and getting together for big meals with family and friends.
Then there are the less-celebrated aspects of the season – clothes right out of the dryer, layering your favorite clothes into one outfit, skiing and snowboard trips, building snowmen, having snowball fights, the smell of fresh air, hot cocoa, hot cider and peppermint-spiced lattes. Find what makes you happiest this winter.
