Since spring registration started Monday, it makes timely sense to start the year by recognizing one of the pillars of Cherokee, Clay and Graham counties. Since its humble start as a prison, and then a technical school, Tri-County has evolved into a community college that offers everything from two-year associate’s degrees and high school diplomas to a wide array of certifications that give local residents plenty of worthwhile options in career choices.
Tri-County’s transfer, vocational, technical and adult education programs offer something that can benefit every individual and business in the region, and at far less cost than four-year universities. The college provides workforce training while
also oversees economic development for Cherokee County, and we’re fortunate to have it in such a small, rural area.
The college’s student learning motto is to “Educate, inspire and enrich” – register today if that sounds like something you could use in your life. The main campus is at 21 Campus Circle, just off of U.S. 64 East Alternate, in Peachtree. Call the office at 828-837-6810 or visit tricountycc.edu.
