Local election reports

    To help better inform voters in Cherokee and surrounding counties about the Tuesday, Nov. 3, general election, all of the Cherokee Scout’s election profiles are being placed on cherokeescout.com and available for viewing at no charge.
    These profiles includes candidates for U.S. House of Representatives, N.C. Senate, N.C. House, Cherokee County Board of Commissioners, Cherokee County Board of Education, 30th District judge and more. Early voting began Oct. 15 at the Cherokee County Board of Elections office, 40 Peachtree St. in downtown Murphy.
