The 535-member Pride of the Mountains Marching Band from Western Carolina University is one of only two collegiate bands invited to participate in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. It will be the band’s second appearance in the parade in five years.
Incumbent Mike Sheidy and newcomer Jonathan Ellison were each elected to a four-year term on the Andrews Board of Aldermen in the Nov. 5 town election.
The Andrews property occupied by Bear Ridge Speedway and former Hillbilly Mall off U.S. 19/74 is for sale.
