Couse hits 90 on the course
The Chatuge Shores Men’s Golf Association celebrated a landmark 90th birthday for longtime member and past-president Jerry Couse.
The surprise celebration was held at the Chatuge Shores Golf Course on Jan. 11 after enjoying a day of golf. Friends, neighbors and members all wished him a “happy birthday.”
The Chatuge Shores Men’s Golf Association plays at 10:30 a.m. Monday and Wednesday during the winter, weather permitting. They welcome any level of golfer to join the group, which has a lot of fun along with handicapped- golf competition. Members are from Cherokee, Clay, Towns and Union counties.
