Chase beats Pickens’ best
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase had a brilliant day in the a 34-20 Bengals win over the Arizona Cardinals on Oct. 8, when he became only the fifth National Football League wide receiver to have 15 receptions and three touchdowns in a single game.
In the process, he broke the Bengals’ single-game record for most catches in a game. The previous record belonged to Carl Pickens of Murphy, N.C., who had 13 catches for 204 receiving yards and one touchdown in a 25-20 Bengals win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Oct. 11, 1998.
