Free hunting webinars set
The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission is offering six free hunting webinars beginning in September and running through December. The first was Tuesday night on deer hunting, while there is another one Thursday on deer processing.
The next free webinar will be on Squirrel Hunting on Saturday, Sept. 19.
Classes will be held remotely from 7-8 p.m. and conclude with a 30-minute question-and answer-session. To register, visit GoOutdoorsNorthCarolina.com. A recording of the presentation will be made available the week following the webinar on the commission’s YouTube channel.
HAYESVILLE
Scholarship golf tourney
The annual Bethel-Guidry College Scholarship golf tournament will take place Saturday, Sept. 23, at Mountain Harbour Golf Course. The scholarships will benefit senior students from Clay and Towns counties.
The four-person scramble format will be a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Entry fee is $400 per team of four or $100 per player.
