Turkey hunt webinars set

The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission will offer three free turkey hunting webinars in February, ahead of the start of the wild turkey open season in April.

The webinars are more geared toward novice hunters, but any level of hunter can sign up. Topics will include biology, species habits, habitats, scouting, essential equipment, setup, effective shot placement, decoy placement and hunting strategies.

The seminars will take place Tuesday through Thursday, Feb. 7-9, via Zoom. Space is limited, so pre-registration online is required. Each class will be one hour long and end with an interactive Q&A session.

Participants will receive a Zoom link after registering via a confirmation email, and classes will be emailed to registered participants on March 1. For details, visit the website ncwild.org/sbs, email walter.james@ncwildlife.org or call 984-202-1387.
