    William Harry Edwards, 79, of Marble, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021.
    William was born in Cherokee County to the late Wayne Edwards and Edrie Trull Edwards.
    He was a diesel engine mechanic. He had worked for Higdon Construction Company.
    William loved his family, church family, his dogs and restoring farm tractors. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 439, and a member of Tomotla Baptist Church.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry and Noel Edwards; and sister, Betty Jeanne West.
    William is survived by his wife, Lorretta Edwards; stepdaughter Pamela Johnson; sister, Martha Boyer and husband Charlie; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Dorothy Sue Hawkins.
    A funeral service was held at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 25, at Tomotla Baptist Church. Pastor Harold Stiles officiated. Burial was in Moss Cemetery. Pallbearers were Michael Boyer, Evan Firkus, Mark Trull, Steve Boyer, Jeremy Berong and Glenn Lambert. Honorary pallbearers were Russ Rokovitz and Jeff Trull.
    The family received friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, April 25, at Tomotla Baptist Church.
