William Dale Capps, 68, of Murphy, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2020.
He was born in England, Arkansas, to the late Leon and Hazel Smith Capps.
William was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a self-employed roofer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Austin Dale Kitchens.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Murray Capps; two sons, James Kevin Kitchens and James Robert Kitchens; one daughter, Lisa Beasley; two brothers, James and Mark Capps; three sisters, Christine Thornton, Donna Tucker and Carol Richie; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, at Unaka Baptist Church. The Rev. Rondall Brown will officiate. Pallbearers will be James Robert Kitchens Sr., James Kitchens Jr., James Kevin Kitchens, James Cody Kitchens, Joshua Crawford and Michael Crawford. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, at Unaka Baptist Church.
