    William Henry Anderson, 84, of Brasstown, passed away Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022.
    He served in the United States Army as a tank operator during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
    William was a licensed electrician and licensed contractor/builder, working in construction his whole life. He also farmed, raised livestock and grew tobacco, strawberries and apples.
    William served on the Soil and Water Board in Clay County for 13 years. He was a Christian of the Baptist faith, and a faithful deacon at Pinelog Baptist Church.
    William was the son of the late Woodard Cline and Sueanna Mae (Willis) Anderson. He was preceded in death by one sister, Doris Anderson; and one brother, Kendall Anderson (Hubbie).
    He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Linda Chambers Anderson of Brasstown; one daughter, Kimberly Chastain and husband Lamar Chastain; two sons, Jimmy Anderson and wife Robin, and Chris Anderson and wife Samantha; six grandchildren, Alexis Dockery and husband Tylor, Aaron Chastain, Calista Chastain, Tyler Anderson, Diana Anderson and Jonah Graves; four sisters, Charlene Ross of Brasstown, Faye Ramsey (Walter) of Dalton, Ga., Carolyn Dayton of Braselton, Ga., and Glenda Anderson (Rodney) of Hayesville; and one brother, David Anderson (Carolyn) of Brasstown; sister-in-law, Nancy Crooks (Alan); brother-in-law, Sheridan Chambers (Lynn), and brother-in-law Richard Chambers (Nancy); and many nieces and nephews. William also left behind two sweet Schnauzers, Tucker and Carter.
    A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at Pinelog Baptist Church. The Revs. Lamar Chastain and Kevin Miller will be officiating. Inurnment will follow at Pinelog Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 1-2 p.m. Service will immediately follow the visitation. Pallbearers will be Aaron Chastain, Tyler Anderson, Jonah Graves, David Owens, Jerry Leslie, Dale Fleming, Charlie Caldwell, Bill England and Max Reese. Nephews will be honorary pallbearers.
