    Wayne E. Baine, 59, of Murphy, passed away Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
    Mr. Baine was born Aug. 5, 1962, in Copperhill, Tenn., to the late Herman Baine and Virginia Hayes Baine.
    He was a member of Second Baptist Church, and a U.S. Army veteran. Wayne worked in business communications and construction before retirement. He owned and operated his own business WEBCO Trim.
    He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, hunting, fishing and playing his guitar.
    He was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Baine.
    Survivors include his wife, Barbara Postell Baine; sons, James (Lesia) Hooper, Matthew Baine and Chris (Gidget) Baine; daughters, Hope Baine, Tammy (David) Rivenbark and Tiffany Nations; brother, Van Baine, grandchildren, Kamberlyn Hooper, Kaseson (Leah) Hooper, D.J. Rivenbark, Drew Rivenbark, Austen Nolan, Andrew Baine, Katie Baine, Donavon Baine, Hayleigh Baine, Skylee Kell, Seth Kell, Gregory Nations and Landon Nations; great-grandchildren, Oaklie Baine, John Luke Nolan and Noah Baine.
    Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Calvin Murphy, Joe Long and Ralph Barnard officiating. Music was provided by George VanBuskirk. Interment followed in Southend Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors by local veterans’ organizations. Pallbearers were D.J. Rivenbark, Drew Rivenbark, Kaseson Hooper, Austen Nolan, Andrew Baine, Donavon Baine, Aaron Roberts and Alex Roberts. Honorary pallbearer was Chris Baine.
    Arrangements were entrusted to Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy.
