Wanda Millsaps

   Wanda D. Millsaps, 73, of Marble, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021, at home surrounded by family.
   She was a native and lifetime resident of Cherokee County.
   Wanda worked at Baker Furniture for many years until retirement. She loved working crossword puzzles and watching professional wrestling both on TV and in person on several occasions.
   She was the daughter of the late Frank and Jessie Garrett Derreberry and wife of the late Jewell Millsaps. She was also preceded in death by a beloved daughter, Connie Sue Derreberry; one sister, Joyce Ann Queen.
   Surviving are two step-daughters, Shonda Hidalgo of Winston Salem, N.C., and Shannon Davis of Hickory, N.C.; two stepsons, Brandon Millsaps and Travis Millsaps, both of Marble.; three sisters, Betty Maney and Kenneth of Marble, Alma Fay Maney and Junior of Central, S.C., and Janice Sowell, also of Marble; six brothers, Robert Derreberry, Larry Derreberry and Jimmy Dean Derreberry, all of Marble, David Derreberry and Billy Ray Derreberry and Denise, all of Andrews, and Junior Derreberry and Diane of Murphy. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
   Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31, in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy, with the Rev. Harold Stiles officiating. Music was provided by Hailee Jo Turner.
   The family received friends from 5-6:45 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31, at Ivie Funeral Home Murphy, prior to the services.
   Ivie Funeral Home Murphy, was in charge of all arrangements.
