    Wallace B. Davis, 87, of Andrews, passed away Monday, Sept. 6, 2021 at Erlanger Western Carolina Hospital.
    Wallace was born July 18, 1934, to the late F.L. Davis and Bessie Hall Davis in Andrews.
    He graduated from Andrews High School, Class of 1953.
    Wallace proudly served the U.S. Army from 1955-58 as a communications specialist.
    He was a deacon and life long member of Mountain View Church, and also worked at Berkshire until it closed, then retired from Emerson Electric.
    Wallace attended Tri-County Community College with studies in carpentry and cabinet making.
    He loved to garden, fish, sing and play his guitar. He loved all sports, his church and his family.
    He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Eunice Hedden Davis; brother Herbert Davis; and sisters, Francis Ussery and Reva Burnthorn.
    He is survived by his children, Sandy Solesbee (Kenneth), Ricky Davis and Jamie Davis (Kelly); a sister, Shirley Bingham of Gastonia; grandchildren, Keyton Davis, Wayne Davis, Tyler and Delaney Hilton, Hailey Ratliffe and Gabby Ratliffe; and great-grandchild, Adalynn Ratliffe.
    The family receive friends from 2-3:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, at Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews. A graveside service was held immediately following visitation at Valleytown Cemetery in Andrews. The Revs. Jesse Adams and Eddie Hardin officiated. Pallbearers were grandsons and nephews.
