    Wade Ervin Hensley, 84 of Murphy, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021.
    He was born July 18, 1 937, in Asheville to the late Boyd and Maggie Hensley Sealy.
    Wade was a mechanic for Charles Wilde Ford. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Wade loved driving race cars. He enjoyed going to flea markets and spending time with his family.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Hensley; one sister, Faye Ramsey; and one great-granddaughter, Amy Franklin.
    He is survived by his children, Ronald Hensley and wife Tammy of Robbinsville, Boyce “Bo” Hensley and wife Teresa of Balsam, and Joyce Clark of Andrews; one brother, Phil Hensley and wife Mary Ann of Hendersonville; a sister, Gail Morrow of Alexander, N.C.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
    A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 6, at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews.
    The family received friends and family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 6, 2021.
