    Victor Breedlove, 95, of Marble, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022.  
    Mr. Breedlove was born Feb. 13, 1927, in Bryson City, to the late Carl Breedlove and Pearl Dehart Breedlove.
    Victor married Christine Breedlove, and they had three children, Carmon Scott Breedlove, Jerry Breedlove and Vicki Breedlove Rosborough.
    Victor was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed spending time woodturning and had taught the art at the John C. Campbell Folk School.
    Victor served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Franklin during World War II.
    He is survived by a son, Jerry (Diane) Breedlove; a daughter, Vicki (Lance) Rosborough; grandchildren, Scott Breedlove, Kimberly Parsley and James Painter Jr.; and a great-grandaughter, Amanda Lance.
    Victor is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Pearl Breedlove; his wife of 74 years, Christine Mintz Breedlove; and a son and daughter-in-law, Carmon Scott Breedlove and Darlene Breedlove.
    The service for Victor Breedlove will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 24, at Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy Chapel, with the Rev. Jerry Beavers officiating. Burial will follow in Maltby Baptist Church Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by local veterans organizations. Pallbearers include Anthony Coffee, Kasey Coffee, Brandon Mills, Eddie Bowers, Randy Barton and Richard Mills.
