    Tony Lee Crisp, 55, of Murphy, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021.
    Surviving of the home is his loving wife, Marla Chastain Crisp.
    He was born June 18, 1966, in Cherokee County to Joann Smith Crisp and the late Robert Edward Crisp.
    Tony graduated from Murphy High School in 1984, and worked at OMC for almost 20 years and at Snap-on for 19 years as a machinist.
    He loved spending time with his wife, family and friends. Tony also enjoyed fishing, camping, Jeep
riding, motorcycles and welding.
    In addition to his father, Tony was preceded in death by an infant son, Tony Lee Crisp Jr.; a stepson, D.J. Payne; grandparents, Ed and Mae Anderson, and Earl Van and Lois Smith; and father and mother-in-law, Harvey and Faye Chastain.
    Surviving in addition to his wife, are his mother, Joann Smith Crisp; stepson, Evan Payne; a sister, Debra Ann Qualls; a sister-in-law, Cindy Chastain Johnson and Rick Carlson of Marble; brothers-in-law, Doug Chastain and Kristie of Mineral Bluff, Ga., Darryl Chastain and Jeffrey Chastain of Murphy; nephews, Andrew Johnson, Ethan, Aaron and Ian Chastain; and longtime family friend, Renee Griggs of Marble.
    A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. The Revs. Ronnie Crisp and Dennis Ashe officiated. Rev. Ronnie Crisp’s Family and Cassie Conley conducted music. Burial was at Macedonia Baptist Church. Pallbearers were Andrew Johnson, Doug Chastain, David Williams, Paul Bryant, Brent Crisp and Mark Gibson. Honorary pallbearers were Rick Carlson, Jerry Tinney, Lee Waters, Scott Caylor and Carl Bateman.
    The family received friends from noon-2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy.
    Townson-Rose Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
