    Thomas Dewey Lloyd, 76, of Hayesville, passed away Monday, May 16, 2022.
    He was born in Clay County to the late Frank and Frankie Murphy Lloyd.
    Thomas was a lifelong resident of Clay County and a member of Fort Hembree Baptist Church.
    Tom was a honest, dependable person, who was good to everyone. He always helped anyone and never complained. His favorite things to do were fishing, riding his tractor, mowing and working.
    Tom had worked for Jacky Jones Ford for many, many years, and worked at Jones Ford for Jacky’s dad.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, John Robert “T.C.” Smith; sisters, Emma Jane Lloyd Kincaid and Ida Lloyd; and brothers, George Vernon Lloyd, Simon Vincent Lloyd, Bobby Lee Lloyd, Charles Louis Lloyd and Frank Lloyd Jr.
    Surviving are a sister, Jesse Lloyd Smith; two grandsons, Matthew Lewis Crawford and Michael Crawford; many nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 21, at Townson-Rose Funeral Chapel, Hayesville, with the Rev. Harold Holbrook officiating. Singing was conducted by Annie Lloyd and Farrah Hall Eller. Interment was held in the Herbert Hills Cemetery. Pallbearers were Gabriel Lloyd, Shawn Lloyd, Simon Lloyd Jr., Greg Lloyd, Jaquan Lloyd and Seantrell Lloyd. Honorary pallbearers were Little Joe Dorsey, Noel Lloyd, Jacky Jones, Ed Ashe, Jimmy Jones, Noel Jones, Nathan Garrett, Justin Cherry, Jerry Sprinkles, James Cherry, Dwight Penland, Andy Owenby, Charles Odonovan, Joey Lequire, Richie Roberts, Trey Anderson, Brian Seney, John Deron, Barry Schofield, Josh Ashe, Chris Holland, Chris Queen, Jesse Rich and Kevin Weitz.
    The family received friends from noon-2 p.m. Saturday, May 21, at the Townson-Rose Funeral Chapel prior to the services.
    Townson-Rose Funeral Home, Hayesville, was in charge of all arrangements.
