    Susan Morgan of Hayesville died unexpectedly at her home Tuesday, Nov. 30.  
    The daughter of the late Paul and Pickens Morgan, Susan was born Nov. 14, 1963, in Tallahassee, Fla.
    She completed her undergraduate education at Agnes Scott College and graduate education at Tulane University.
    Most recently, Susan was town clerk and finance director for the Town of Hayesville. Susan also previously worked in bank security for People’s Bank in Leawood, Kan., and the American Association of Veterinary State Boards in Kansas City, Mo.   
    A cradle Episcopalian, Susan was a member of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, where she served on the outreach ministry.
    Susan was an outspoken advocate for justice and especially women’s rights. She recently served as delegate to the State Democratic Convention and was an active member of the Clay County Democratic Party.  
    Smart, funny, and competitive, Susan cherished her friends and relationships, and she worked to make life special for those she loved.
    Surviving her are husband of over 28 years, the Rev. Dr. Bill Breedlove; daughters, Talley Breedlove of Seattle, Wash., and Mary Breedlove of Atlanta, Ga.; brother, Trey Morgan of Jacksonville, Fla., and sister Talley Morgan of Tallahassee, Fla., and a large number of cousins and lifelong friends.  
    A memorial service for Susan was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, 495 Herbert Hills Drive, Hayesville, with the Rev. Dr. Delmer Chilton officiating.
