Shirlene Raxter

    Shirlene Tindel Raxter, 52, of Andrews passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at a Murphy hospital
    She was born in Hillsborough County, Fla., and lived in both Andrews and Florida throughout her life. Shirlene was a loving mother to not only her kids, but others that she had looked after.
    She was a member of Beaver Creek Freewill Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and served as the director of Vacation Bible School.
    She was the daughter of June Reece Tindel, of Andrews, and the late Wallace Earl Tindel and was the wife of the late Gary Lynn Raxter, who died November 3, 2020.
    Surviving, in addition to her mother, are a daughter, Kaylee Raxter, of Andrews; son, Kurtis Raxter, of Andrews; two sisters, Sheila Trull and husband, Danny, of Waynesville, and Sharon Gibson and husband, Phillip, of Andrews; and many nieces and nephews.
    Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at Valleytown Cemetery with the Rev. Aaron Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be Phillip Gibson, Jerry Brooks, Jamie Donaldson, Aaron Smith, and Lane Crisp.
    In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Shirlene Tindel Raxter to American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.
