Scotty Roberson, 50, of Hayesville, passed away Monday, Jan. 3, 2022, in a Gainesville, Ga., hospital.
He was a native of Blairsville, Ga., where he lived most of his life.
Scotty worked at Twiggs Garage as an auto body fabricator throughout his life. He loved dirt track racing and devoted his life to the sport.
Scotty was a member of Shooting Creek Baptist Church.
He was the son of Brenda and Steve Stiles, and Steve Roberson.
Scotty is survived by his wife of 22 years, Donna Roberson; two daughters, Michelle Rodgers and husband Leland, and Brandy Henson and husband Marty; two sisters, Stacy Roberson Howard and husband Travis, and Kelley Franklin and husband Ben; one brother, Dexter Stiles and wife Amanda; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, at Mount Carmel Baptist Church with the Revs. Josh Ledford and Darryl Rose officiating. Interment will be in Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Albert Garrett, Johnny Chastain, Jordan Johnson, J.L. Davenport, Kevin Chapman and Leland Rodgers. Honorary pallbearers will be Marty Henson and Marty Johnson.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, at Mount Carmel Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to help with expenses.
