Our beloved Samuel Mitchell “Che” Asilis went to be with his Lord and Savior after a long battle with cancer.
He loved traveling to beautiful places all over the world. He had an independent spirit. He loved his family and fiancee.
In his final battle he trusted in his Lord’s care, and he was not afraid to walk with him into his new journey.
His passion was being a civilian merchant marine. He also had a deep love for the state of Alaska and the Seychelle Islands, both of which he had travelled to and worked at.
He is survived by his mother, Phoebe “Febe” Samuels-Jackson; stepfather, Mark Jackson; siblings, Alex, Josiah and Lydia; niece, Lareina; and fiancee, Angelina.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cecil and Lydia Samuels.
He will be missed greatly by his family, friends and relatives.
“... and the dead in Christ shall rise first” (1 Thessalonians 4:16).
