Ruby Hall
Ruby Faye Hall, 87, of Murphy, went Home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 10, 2020.
Faye was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, and the daughter of the late Waitsell and Birdie Montgomery.
Ruby worked for various manufacturing plants such as Remco, Emerson and Berkshire. She loved gardening and canning vegetables.
Ruby was a member of New Hope Church of God.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Garland Hall.
Ruby was the last of eight children. She was preceded in death by baby Monroe, young Gladys, Lou Ledford, Edith Posey, Hazel Cornwell, Betty West; her twin brother, Ray Montgomery; and an infant great-grandson.
She is survived by six children, Sheila Taylor of Sycamore, Ga.; Rex Taylor and wife Janet of Murphy, Johhnie Hall of Murphy, Cheryl Hartness and husband Tex of Murphy; Robin Hall of the home and Paul Hall of Murphy; nine grandchildren, Ronnie Gibson Jr., Darrell Gibson, Desiree Joseph, Cheree Swanson, Jennifer Taylor, Jason Hall, Tiffany Hickson, Trisha Hartness and Brandon Hall. She had 15 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 13, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. The Rev. David Watson officiated. Burial was in the Hall Family Cemetery.
