    Ruby Lorene Davis, 74, of Marble, passed away Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021.
    She was the daughter of the late Gabe and Alene Massey Floyd. She was a native of Water Valley, Miss., and long-time resident of Cherokee County.
    Ruby was very active in the community and her church. She served many years on the Cherokee County Rescue Squad. Ruby enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with her friends and family.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James Floyd and Junior Floyd; and one sister, Mary Lamar.
    Surviving are three sons, Jacky Woody of Black Mountain, Jamie Woody and Shawn of Allendale, S.C., and Donald Woody and Heidi of Murphy; two daughters, Kathy Woody and David Smith of Tennessee, and Gail Johnson and Bo of Murphy; one brother, Homer Floyd of Mississippi; one sister, Elizabeth Floyd of Mississippi; 12 precious grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and eight nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services were held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Pastor Ben Adams officiated.
    The family received friends from 4-6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy.
