    Robin Dale Wright, 54, of Cherokee County, passed away Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022, in Murphy.
    Robin was born Feb. 27, 1967, in Towns County, Ga., to Nettie Rogers Wright and the late James R. Wright.
    He was a graduate of Hiwassee Dam High School, and was currently employed by Atkinson Construction Company as a walking boss. Robin loved  that his career took him all over the country to work. He made many lifelong friendships from his life of work/travel. Robin enjoyed telling of his many amazing memories and experiences that his career provided.
    He loved his most recent fishing adventures with his son, Kyle Wright, and nephew, Cameron McFaddin. He joyfully shared many stories of his other fishing adventures accompanied with a variety of family and friends.
    He cherished spending quality time with his children, family and friends.  He was ecstatic to welcome Jackson Ledford, Keera Smart and his unborn grandson into the family.
    He had a love for soft serve ice cream, Little Debbies and most things sweet. He was known for always smiling and brightening others’ days.
    Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, at Townson Rose Funeral Home in Murphy.
    Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7, at Townson Rose Funeral Home in Murphy, with the Revs. Doug Payne and Steve Ware officiating. Interment was in Bell Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were son, Kyle Wright; nephews, Cameron McFaddin, Brandon McFaddin, Tyler Wright and Ty Wright; and future son-in-law, Jackson Ledford. Honorary pallbearers were nephews, Kenny Oliver, Jimmy Walker, Ricky Walker, Dewayne Wilson, Matthew Wright, Patrick Wright, Ethan Wright, Daylen Morrow, Devin Morrow, Jacob Morrow and Alex Sanchez.
    Robin was preceded in death by his father, James R. Wright; siblings, Erma Wright Walker, Charlotte Wright Coker, Tony Leon Wright, Will Edward Wright and Timothy Ricky Wright; and beloved nephew, Joshua Ryan Wright.
    He is survived by his daughter, Ashlynn Rose Wright and fiance Jackson Ledford; son, Kyle Robin Wright and partner Keera Smart and unborn grandson; mother, Nettie Rogers Wright; siblings, Jan Wright Garrett and husband Ernest, James Donald Wright, Netta Wright McFaddin and husband Monte, Adam Jay Wright and wife Tammy, Laura Wright Morrow and husband Jeff, Ralph Tyrone Wright and wife Valerie; along with many cherished nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins and friends.
