Robert A. Reid, 67, of Murphy, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, May 16, 2022, after an extended illness.
Robert (Bob) was born Dec. 29, 1954, in Hialeah, Fla., the son of the late Robert James Reid and Francis Marie Belz (Reid).
Football was No. 1 on Bob’s list, preferably college over pro any day. Bob also enjoyed camping, fishing, snow skiing, traveling, reading, bowling, lazy days on the beach or cooking up something awesome on the barbecue while in the company of family and friends.
Surviving Robert (Bob) is his loving wife and best friend of 37 years, Beth (Carr) Reid of Murphy; his sister, Sharon Jessup with husband Thomas McCarthy of Davie, Fla.; his niece, Stephanie Craney, Davie Fla., and nephew Larry Jessup with wife Morgan of Charlotte; half sister, Carol Reid of Englewood, Fla.; brother-in-law, Bud Carr with wife Mary; sister-in-law, Bridget with husband Mark Burdelsky; and sister-in-law, Blair Carr.
Memorial services will soon be announced.
In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Mr. Reid’s memory.
