    Robbie Cheshire, 95, formerly of Andrews, passed away after a brief illness Friday, Oct. 4, 2019, in Lake Wales, Fla.
    Born in the roaring 1920s, Robbie was a lover of big band music, an ardent watcher of old black-and-white picture shows and a devout Christian.
    Originally a native of Georgia, and later Florida, she lived for many years in the Panama Canal Zone with her husband and children during the 1960s and 1970s.
    Following her move to Cherokee County in the 1980s, she became a member of several local church congregations, where she made many friends throughout the intervening decades, before eventually returning to Florida in 2018.
    She was preceded in death by her daughter, Janice Hackler, and husband Herbit Dolson Cheshire.
    She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Raper; sons, Alan and Lance Cheshire; granddaughters, Renae Cheshire, Robyn Johnson, Cassandra Lindley, Grace Raper and Anastasia Walsh; grandsons, Lance Cheshire and Cade Raper; and 10 great-grandchildren.
