Peggy Lucille Loomis, 80, of Murphy, passed away Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022.
She was born Oct. 26, 1941, in Hamlet, N.C., to the late Grover and Edna Grant English.
Peggy was a homemaker. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant children and two brothers.
She is survived by her husband, William Loomis; two sons, Creig Loomis (Rebecca) of Largo, Fla., and Dale Loomis (Vivian) of Adel, Ga.,; one daughter, Caryn Beavers (Wesley) of Murphy; four grandchildren, Matthew, Jennifer, Stephanie and Michael Loomis; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy with the Rev. Kyle Cody officiating. Pallbearers will be great-grandsons, Trent, Owen and Kasen Beavers, Eli and D.J. Waugh and Matthew Loomis Jr.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home.
