    Oliver “Red” Wooten, 81, of Andrews, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Nov. 9, 2020.
    He was born and raised in Andrews.
    Red worked as a logger in his younger days. Then he retired from The Marble Company and Baker Furniture. He loved to work.
    Red had a passion for cracking walnuts and being able to give to people. He loved people to visit him.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Pawnee Rogers Wooten; two sisters, Ellen Coleman and Opal Adams; two brothers, Robert Wooten and Woody Wooten; and a dear companion, Wanda Day.
    Oliver is survived by his loving daughter, Robin Reynolds and husband Tom of Sylva; son, Wendell Wooten of Andrews; two sisters, Stella and Lamar Ledford of Andrews, and Rosa and Phillip Crawford of Andrews; one brother, Newell and Barbara Wooten of Andrews; grandchildren, Colton Newton, Keisha Borden, Corey Carringer; Cindy Day, who was like a daughter and Noah Mansker, who was like a grandson; one great-granddaughter, Paisley Borden; and many nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at Townson-Rose Chapel of Andrews. The Rev. Eddie Hardin officiated. Burial was at Valleytown Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jimmy Carringer, Junior Coleman, Johnny Coleman, Robert Fulford, Clayton McKinney and Jake Adam. Honorary pallbearers were Jake Reynolds and Adam Wooten. The service included singers Marty Hooper, Tammy Hooper and Karen Hodge. The family received friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at Townson-Rose Chapel of Andrews.
