Norman Cooledge West, 92, of Andrews, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019, at Valley View Care Center.
Norman was the son of the late Richmond “Pierce” West and Allie Gregory West.
He worked as a maintenance department manager at Baker Furniture. Norman was an avid woodworker and woodcarver who made many types of folk music instruments.
He was a member of Red Marble Baptist Church in Andrews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Faye West; sister, Lena West; and brothers, Zeb, Herman, Robert and Billy West.
He is survived by his sons, Gary West and wife Susie, and Charles Trantham and wife Mindy; daughters, Cathy Jackson and husband Marlon, Deborah Palmer and husband Jody, and Melissa Frame and husband Ben; his brother, Sherman West and wife Lavina; 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
The family received friends from noon-2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at Red Marble Baptist Church in Andrews. Funeral services followed at 2 p.m. The Rev. Mickey Stewart officiated.
