    Nathaniel Lee (Sonny) Wallace, 78, of Murphy, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in the comfort of his home on Wednesday morning, Oct. 9, 2019, surrounded by his family.
    Mr. Wallace was born Aug. 5, 1941, to the late John Wallace and Willa Nell Bennett Wallace.
    He was a member of Temple Baptist Church, a preacher, active in mission work and jail ministry. He worked with the United Brotherhood of Church Planters in North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota. Sonny was a retired supervisor and member of Mill Wright Local 654 in Chattanooga, Tenn. He loved spending time with his family.
    Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Norma Ledford Wallace; daughters, Lisa (Randy) Styles of Hendersonville, and Stacy (Jerry) Bandy of Murphy; son, Nathan Wallace of Cleveland, Tenn.; sisters, Annette Helton, Sue Graves and Becky Ballew; brother,
Perry Wallace; grandchildren, Charisse Ledford, Tyler Ledford, Zach Ledford, Kaitlyn Styles, Caleb Styles, Grace Styles, Noah Wallace, Eli Wallace, Joshua Bandy, Jacob Bandy and Jenna Bandy; great-grandchildren, William Ledford, Londyn Styles, Katie Bandy and Maddy Bandy.
    Funeral services were scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, from Temple Baptist Church with Pastors Don Padgett and Harvey Ware officiating. Music
was provided by Bobby Sneed. Pallbearers were grandsons, Tyler Ledford, Joshua Bandy, Zachary Ledford, Jacob Bandy, Noah Wallace, Caleb Styles and Eli Wallace. Honorary pallbearers were Richard Hawkins, James Wood, Johnnie Burrell, David Stalcup, Lloyd Heaton, Jacob Crow, Jared Crow, Joseph Crow, Kendric McDonald, and Dillion McDonald.
    Interment followed in Temple Baptist Church Cemetery.
    The family received friends from noon-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at Temple Baptist Church.
