Our beloved father, son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend, Michael “Mikie” Ray Wickline returned to his Heavenly Father unexpectedly Monday, Oct. 9, 2021, at the young age of 30.
Mikie was born in Murphy on Nov. 23, 1990.
Mikie was “one of a kind.” Mikie was known for his sense of humor and protective nature. If you were honored to know him then you know you will never meet anyone else like him. He enjoyed hunting, fishing with his son and spending time with his friends and family.
When you think of Mikie, celebrate the good memories you have of him. He will be missed more than words could express, but he will forever be in our hearts until we meet again.
Mikie is survived by his mother, Sherrie Rowland; his father, Gary Rowland; his brothers, Todd Rowland and Austin Rowland (Carina Dockery); his sisters, Ashley Ray and Lindsey Smith (Aaron Smith); his son, Harley Wickline; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marilyn Garrett, Michael Garrett, aunt Melinda Garrett and niece Ava Smith.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. The Rev. Eddie Ramey officiated. Burial was at Rowland Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dalton Danielson, Austin Rowland, Todd Rowland, Joseph Nichols, Anthony Garrett, Josh Little and Aaron Smith. Honorary pallbearer was Matthew Danielson.
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy.
