Merlin Ramsey

    Merlin James Ramsey, 83, of Tomotla, passed away Monday, June 21, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.
    He was born Jan. 8, 1938, in Cherokee County to the late Sherdan and Corida Gibson Ramsey.
    He was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County and attended school in Cherokee County.
    A celebration of life is planned at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 31, at Oak Grove Baptist Church located at 2431 N.C. 294 in Murphy.
    In lieu of flowers, the family asked that Bibles be donated to the Gideons in Merlin’s name.
