Mary Sue Sneed

    Mary Sue Sneed, 54, of Murphy, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2022.
    She was born in Cherokee County to Stanley Carl and Lois Mashburn Sneed of Murphy.
    Mary had lived most of her life in Cherokee County. She loved working with children, and she had worked as an Exceptional Children’s teacher in the Cherokee County School System.
    She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. Mary did sign language with “For His Glory” and youth ministry through Truett.
    She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Leonard and Lillie Mashburn, and Sheridan and Sadie Sneed.
    In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, James Sneed.
    Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, April 18, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Dr. Chester Jones and the Revs. Tommy Foxworth and Warren Golden will officiate. Interment will be in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tripp Beaver, Malachi Beaver, Jerry Mashburn, Herman Mashburn, Jason Mashburn, Aaron Mashburn, Adam Mashburn, Eli Johnson, Corey Sneed and Noah Warman. Honorary pallbearers will be George Sneed, Paul Mashburn, Darren Roberts, Melvin Mashburn and Alan Warman.
    The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Monday, April 18, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy.
