    Mary Tomasik Phillips, 76, of Andrews, passed away Monday, Jan. 11, 2021.
    She was born in Baltimore, Md., to the late Bronislaus and Irene Cordrey Tomasik.
    Mary was a homemaker. She was a volunteer for the Valley River Humane Society, Andrews Public Library, Cherokee County Food Bank (served on board), Meals on Wheels and was a collector of dolls.
    Mary also loved her family through every good and bad time.
    She was a member of Grace Fellowship Baptist Church.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ralph Phillips; son, Junior Phillips; brothers, Richard Tomasik and Roland Tomasik; and sister, Dorothy Shaver.
    She is survived by her sons, “Bo” Phillips and Michael Phillips and wife Tonya; daughter, Lynn Phillips; stepdaughter, Bertha Lee Pace; grandchildren, Luke Phillips, Shane McCaw, Hannah McCaw, Shawna Phillips; step grandchildren, Mary Ella, Robert Pace, Colton Cooley and Troy Cooley; and great-granddaughter, Ella McCaw.
    A funeral service was held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at Grace Fellowship Baptist Church. Pastors Bo Phillips and Matt Mustin officiated. Burial was at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, in Valley River Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Shane McCaw, Michael Eller, Dustin Phillips, Michael Foster, Dakota Maclay and Jeremiah Miller.
    The family received friends from 4-6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at Grace Fellowship Baptist Church.
    In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Valley River Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 1189, Andrews, NC 28901; or Four Seasons Hospice, 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
