Mary Jo Roberson

    Mary Jo Chapman Roberson, 72, of Murphy, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022.
    She was born in Canton, Ga., to the late James Russell and Pearl Corneilius Turner Chapman.
    Mary Jo had worked in the Cherokee County School System as a custodian for Murphy High School.
    She was a member of Maltby Baptist Church. Mary Jo enjoyed crafts, sewing, fishing and camping.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Grady Russell Chapman; and a sister, Opal Chapman Alvey
    Surviving are her husband of 46 years, Thomas Fredrick Roberson; and several nieces and nephews.
    A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
