Martha Merle Hill Honea, 75, of Murphy, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022.
She was born Jan. 26, 1946, in Decatur, Ala., to the late Phillip and Mattie Gamble Hill.
Martha was a department manager at Walmart for 15 years.
She had moved to Murphy from Auburn, Ga., in 1992.
Martha was of the Baptist faith and a member of Cold Springs Missionary Baptist Church. She was a Nascar fan, and also enjoyed crocheting and arrowhead hunting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Richard Wayne Honea and John Michael Honea; and a sister, Brenda Jean Kinnard.
Martha is survived by her stepfather, Jimmy Lee Mills; daughters, Martha Denise Puckett (Michael) and Melinda Deanne Beaver (Ronald); brothers, Stephen Michael Hill and John Edward Hill; sisters, Robin Hudson and JoAnn Carnes; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
