Dr. Mark James Leski, 60, of Thomaston, Ga., formerly of Murphy, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021.
    He was born Sept. 2, 1961, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Richard Leski and Joan Canfield.
    Mark was a career physician serving in the health care profession for over 33 years. He was an avid fly fisherman and enjoyed bow hunting and farming, and loved preparing gourmet meals for his family and friends.
    Mark has often been described as a true renaissance man.
    Mark is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Rebecca “Becky” Leski; his children, Nicole Sapp, Nicholas “Nick” Kaiser, William “Cal” Sapp (Alexia) and Whitney Young; three grandchildren, Hermione-Savage Sapp, Adalyn Grace Young and Casen Scott; and a brother, James “Jim” Leski (Janet).
    Pallbearers were Nick Kaiser, William Sapp, Jim Leski, Billy Herrin, Steven Lee, Hank Sommers.
    A Celebration of Life was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy with David Sommers, Mitchell Griffin and John Williams officiating.
    The family received friends from 1-2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, prior to the memorial service.
    Townson-Rose Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
