Mrs. Margie Stiles Ashe, 82, of Locust Grove, Ga., passed away Monday, June 8, 2020, after struggling with health issues for many years.
She was the loving wife of 68 years to Vernon R. Ashe.
She was born in Murphy to the late Thad and Janie Stiles of Martins Creek.
Margie loved her family and always put their interests ahead of her own. Her family was her world, and she never failed to show them how much she loved them.
Her favorite thing to do was working in her flower beds. Her yard looked like a park, and you could always find her somewhere outside.
Her love of birds shone brightly. She could sit for hours and just listen to them. She always said her birds would be fed even if she had to do without to make it happen.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Ashe is survived by her daughters: Betty (Mike) Proctor of Cumming, Ga.; Pam (Rick) Hester of Monticello, Ga.; Debby Reece of Simpsonville, Ga.; and Tracy (Jeff) Hull of Durham; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her four brothers and six sisters.
