Margaret Jean Grizzle, 76, of Murphy, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021.
She was a native of Cherokee County. Jean had worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was a member of Ranger Baptist Church. Jean loved to read the Bible.
She was the daughter of the late George and Erna Stiles Postell, and wife of the late Lanier Grizzle. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Killian; and two sisters, Linda Dockery and Betty Mulkey.
Surviving are a son, Jeff Killian; a daughter, Dana Campbell; four sisters, Darlene Hawkins, Gail Waldroup, Pat Lance and Jo Walsh; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 4, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home, Murphy, with the Rev. L.B. Adams officiating. Interment was in Old Martins Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kevin Bailey, Jeff Killian, Dawson Grizzle, Trampas Crisp and Thristen Bailey.
The family received friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, July 4, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home prior to the services.
