    Louise Stalcup, 83, of Marble, passed away Sunday, Sept. 6, 2020.
    She was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County. Louise was the daughter of the late Edward and Wilda Davis Farner.
    She was a cook for the school system.
    Louise loved to serve the Lord, and she loved her family.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, L.T. Farner and Fess Farner; and two sisters, Barbara Hughes and Jean Lovingood.
    She is survived by her husband, Charlie Stalcup; three sons, David Stalcup and wife Margret, Danny Stalcup and wife Amanda, and Dean Stalcup; two daughters, Shannon Wright and husband Darryl, and Cheryl Lawrence and husband Marc; one brother, Dale Farner; two sisters, Judy Hall and Doloris Pace; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. The Rev. Eddie Hardin and pastor Harold Stiles officiated. Burial was in Maltby Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Michael Rogers, Dean Farner, Michael Paul Lovingood, Bobby Pace, Barry Stalcup and Stacy Rogers.
    The family will receive friends from noon-2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home.
