    Louella Gray Warner, 88, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2022, at her home in Murphy.
    She was born in Jerseyville, Ill., to the late John and Anna Gray. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Paul, Oliver and John; her sister ,Virginia; her husband of 63 years, Jimmie Lee Warner; and her eldest son, Doug.
    She is survived by her two sons, Derek and Daren.
    Louella attended and graduated from Jerseyville High where she played clarinet and met her future husband, Jimmie. After marrying, she and Jimmie lived in Alton, Ill., where her first two sons, Doug and Derek, were born. They moved to Belleair Beach, Fla., in the early 1960s where her third son, Daren, was born.
    While in Florida she was active in scouting and fundraising for the 1978 Band of Gold. She was an excellent seamstress making many of her young children’s school clothes and various costumes. She was an avid baker and often made over 10 types of Christmas cookies every year that she shared with her elderly neighbors.
    She was able to travel all over the United States and Mexico, and Europe, and finally settled in Murphy to retire. There she got to enjoy her garden, baking, church classes and the beautiful lake she lived on for over 20 years before passing.
    She attended St. William Catholic Church.
    No services are planned at this time, and the interment will take place at her family cemetery in Illinois.
