    Linda Davis, 74, of Murphy, passed away Monday, Jan. 17, 2022, in Union County, Ga.
    She was born Aug. 12, 1947, in Ducktown, Tenn., to the late John Clifford and Lela Simonds Morrow.
    Linda had worked as a seamstress machine operator in the textile industry.
    She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church, and she loved the Lord.
    Linda was an avid reader, bird watcher, enjoyed cooking for her family, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
    She was also preceded in death by a brother, Oliver Morrow; and a sister, Helen Uplinger.
    Surviving are her husband, Floyd Davis; two sons, Brian Davis and wife Angie of Murphy, and Eric Dwayne Davis and wife Julia of Turtletown, Tenn.; a sister, Juanita Brannon of Coker Creek, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Logan and wife Lindsey, Caleb and wife Kathryn, Zack and wife Amanda, Denver, and Madeline; and three great-grandchildren, Hutson, Brantley and Ryker.
    Funeral services were held at noon Thursday, Jan. 20, at Townson Rose Funeral Home, Murphy, with Revs. Raymond Akens and Chris Matheson officiating. Music was provided by Stephanie Murphy. Pallbearers were Logan, Caleb, Zack, Denver and Chris Davis, and Isaac Cheeks. Madeline Davis and Carl Cheeks served as honorary pallbearers. Interment was in New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Farner, Tenn.
    There was no visitation per the family’s request but friends were welcome to attend the funeral service.
