Leon Ownbey

    Leon Ownbey, 79, of Murphy, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021.
    He was a retired heavy equipment operator. Leon enjoyed fishing and NASCAR.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Eddie Ownbey; brother, Hubert; and companion, Geraldine Jenkins.
    He is survived by a daughter, Sheila Dockery and husband Mike; one son, Keith Ownbey; five grandchildren; one sister, Marie Worley and husband Arnold; and many nieces and nephews.
    The Ownbey family would like to thank everyone for their kind words and prayers.
