    Lawrence “Larry” A. Lindsey Jr., 68, of Andrews, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022, after a seven-year battle with cancer.
    Larry was born in Asheville to the late Rev. Lawrence A. and Ruth Lindsey.
    After a short visit to Andrews 42 years ago, he fell in love with the mountains and its people.
    He was employed by Larry’s Plumbing Company, Baker Furniture, Emerson at Peachtree and Munters.
    In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Debbie Lindsey; and brother-in-law, Frank Shuffler.
    Larry is survived by a stepdaughter, Jennifer “Jenny” Brown; grandsons, Corey L. Brown of Mober, Mo., and Caleb Brown of Andrews; three sisters, Brenda Kuykendall and husband Doug of Spartanburg, S.C., Gail Dailey and husband Larry of Mills River, and Mary Shuffler of Candler; a brother, James G. “Jim” and wife Beth of Asheville; nieces, Jennifer Brooks, Chasity Case and Laura Lindsey; two great-nieces; and nephews, Darby Owenby, Travis Dailey and Ryan Lindsey.
    Memorial service arrangements will be announced at a later date.
