Kenneth Morgan, 92, of Andrews, passed away Monday, June 28, 2021, after a period of declining health.
Kenneth loved the Lord and served as pastor at Junaluska Baptist Church, Topton Baptist Church and Beaver Creek Freewill Baptist Church, where he maintained his membership.
He worked many jobs during his life but had a great love for building. This extended into a hobby of crafting handmade fiddles, which brought him and others lots of joy.
He was the son of the late Collin and Hester Morgan and husband of the late Betty Ann Gregory Morgan, who died June 13, 2014. He was also preceded in death by siblings, Leona, Josephine, Fred and Grover.
Surviving are five children, Karen Birchfield and husband Jimmy of Monroe, Gary Morgan and wife Genie of Andrews, Shirley Ramsey and husband Tommy of Andrews, Greg Morgan and wife Melindia of Atlanta, Ga., and Leigh Gutierez and husband Chris of Canton, Ga.; 10 grandchildren, Kim Myers, Hunter Birchfield, Nicole Morgan, Bryce Sherrill, Kellie Burton, Kaycee Cashion, Marilyn and Kent Morgan, and Colin and Jackson Bryan; and six great-grandchildren, Rachel Myers, Alexis Leonard, Finley and Piper Burton, and Elliott and Lincoln Cashion.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, at Valleytown Cemetery with the Rev. Chris Rumfelt officiating. The eulogy will be given by Kim Myers. Music will be provided by Ken Wiggins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Kenneth Morgan to the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, 10 Glenlake Parkway N.E. South Tower, Suite 400, Atlanta, GA 30328.
