Karen Lee Jenkins Adams, 65 of Otto, N.C., and Murphy, passed away Friday, Oct. 29, 2021.
She was born in Copperhill, Tenn., to the late Hubert and Willie Henson Jenkins.
Karen was very talented and creative with many types of crafts, including crocheting and making jewelry. Her happy place was the beach. Karen loved music and loved to sing. She never met a stranger and had a great sense of humor.Karen was very loved and will be missed by all who loved her.
She was of the Christian faith and was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
She is survived by her brother, Keith Jenkins (Kay); two sisters, Linda Allen (Kenneth) and Sherry Blackwell (Reid); nephews, Johnathan Jenkins, Russell Blackwell, Steven Allen and Jason Allen; niece, Christy Allen; eight great-nieces and nephews; and special friend, Mark Tyson.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, at Hopewell Baptist Church in Murphy. Pastor Mark Tyson officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Keith Allen, Jason Allen, Jonathan Jenkins, Timothy Jenkins and Steven Allen.
The family received friends from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, at Hopewell Baptist Church.
Townson-Rose Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
